As with most things, success with skincare requires good preparation. Cleansing and toning are the essential first steps.
At evolu we make this easy with two gentle, effective products that you can use everyday (ideally twice a day) for best results.
evolu Relaxing Creme Cleanser is a non-foaming formula for all skin types. It’s light in texture, water soluble (perfect for in the shower) and it’s especially effective for removing make-up – including eye make-up and waterproof mascara. Teenagers wanting an effective regime will find it particularly good for acne, which is often due to poor cleansing.
Key botanicals in the blend include Calendula, Geranium, Apricot and St Johns Wort, which work in combination to cleanse thoroughly without stripping the skin of its natural defences. These active ingredients have relaxing and soothing properties, while thoroughly removing face and eye make-up and impurities.
The natural followup is a thorough spritz with evolu Facial Toner. This ensures less moisturiser is required, because the skin is well prepared to absorb just the right amount for its needs.
The Facial Toner is formulated to gently balance the skin back to its natural pH level. Its pure actives include polysaccharides, enzymes and omega-6 essential fatty acids from Aloe Vera, to help hydrate, soften skin texture and soothe irritation.Rosa Gallica essential oil promotes capillary repair and moisture retention, especially assisting dry, inflamed and mature skin, while Witchhazel tones, reduces puffiness and stimulates circulation.
To use, simply spritz onto face and pat into skin. Better not to use cotton pad as this can stretch the skin.

whilst your description of the virtues of your toner sound fabulous and im sure the product is, im not overly sold on the usefulness or need for toners particularly after reading the likes of this article http://beauty.about.com/od/toner/f/tonernecessary.htm id be interested to hear your thoughts on this matter
Thanks for your post. I agree that a toner should not be used for cleansing or removing make-up. That is what the cleanser is for – if there is stubborn make-up, a double cleanse with an effective cleanser like the evolu creme cleanser is ideal. The toner is not for closing pores either, as pores don’t open and close. It can help in tightening the skin which might then assist in reducing the size of stretched pores.
As a trained facial therapist I understand the principle role of the toner to be to balance the skin’s natural pH which better prepares the skin for moisturising, allowing the skin to absorb the moisturiser evenly, resulting in an even skin tone. This moisturiser could be a hydrating facial masque, serum or day or night moisturiser. This step can be missed out, but means the moisturiser will not be nearly as effective, nor will the skin tone be as even. You also won’t need to use as much moisturiser after toning, as it soaks in more readily. I hope this helps.
